Off-road motorcycling, practical shooting competition, and standing up to Blue ISIS when they get in the way of enjoying my life.

Why when you don,f talk to cops they get but hurt 😊
Harder to get you to incriminate yourself?
Nothing can stop that good old DRZ
confidently incorrect
That's not a DRZ
Have you or can you try & maybe try/do a review on the Bul Armory Blaze ? I have one & they are not much more expensive than the Prodigy , no need to change parts & shoot superb
Blaze $2750, proprietary magazines and parts Prodigy $1499 ($1200 street price), 2011 magazines and parts
@@2strokeYardSaleThat does indeed look like a notable difference in price. 🧐
@@2strokeYardSale Just saying as you said about spending a lot of money IE: Atlas etc to get a better gun at a lot more than the Blaze also here in Australia they come with 5 mags inc dont need any more. Nothing to do. Why buy something that has to be pulled apart & rebuilt to get what you want. It is all stainless therefore no finish wear & fit and finish is really good for a factory built gun. I own & use one & so far no problems at all. Two members in my club have purchased Prodigy & both have had problems. By the time you buy the parts to rebuild the prodigy & add labor to work on it its not far off the price of the Blaze. I also think you will find that not all parts are proprietary...just saying
I bought a Prodigy and it was a nightmare with malfunctions, sold it and bought a Bul Armory Tac and never looked back.
You should state when you purchased it. Recent models seem to run relatively well, and if you swap internals, they are pretty nice guns. The only malfunctions I had with mine, were when I fucked with it too much and I compromised something and had to have a gunsmith fix it (and replace the MIM internals while he was in there). It was a learning experience, and it let me realize that I do still love the 1911/2011 platform, but I don't think I will buy more. Reason behind not buying more is that I can accomplish pretty much everything that I can with the Prodigy, with a Glock, M&P, Walther, or CZ P10. The only area where I found the Prodigy really blows away other guns, is single-handed shooting.
@Osprey1994 I purchased my 4.25 November of 2023
I bought a 4.25 when it came out as the 5" had issues. Partially regret not getting the longer barrel but I'm not sure the shorter barrel has really hindered me other than almost failing to meet power factor with factory AAC 115gn at Area 6. I still have all MIM internals except the extractor (replaced with WC bulletproof). I have the Limcat shielded safetys, metal mainspring with egw magwell and a nitrofin. The stock grip works great for me. I probably have 3000 rounds through it. Fiber optic fell off ages ago. I shoot USPSA LO so I never bothered to replace it. Have had a few malfunctions but most were either from bad reloads (crimping and seating in the same die) or from the gun being too dirty and not lubed enough. Did have a failure to feed last Saturday after only 100 rounds but it was cold and I probably didn't use enough lube after cleaning. My backup is currently a 5" PDP which isn't ideal since it requires a different belt.
I'm glad your internals are holding up. I messed with mine and induced hammer follow before I even hit 1000rds (around 700). Had a local gunsmith who works on these guns swap internals, and set the trigger, and then put another 600rds through it without a single hiccup (including 75rds that I picked out of ammo buckets at my range, yes I know it's not the smartest thing to do). I haven't been shooting much since I stopped working at the range, but I've been dry firing and hopefully I can get back to it this year. I think the Prodigy will probably get about 1500rds of the budget, and the rest will go to the carry gun, especially if I trade for that new Canik MC9 Prime.
@@Osprey1994 I tuned the sear spring to 3.5lbs and by round 1200 or so the surfaces had mated enough that it became 3lbs (and has stayed there). I specifically wanted to see how long the MIM parts will last before failure (also, its cheaper to just run the mim internals until they fail). I held the MC9LS recently and was quite surprised how well it fit my hand. Felt better than my Xmacro. I might sell that and get the Prime.
That poor clutch lol
Please research 'motorcycle freewheeling' meaning.
The c more setup on the open gun is wilddddd
12 MOA. I like big dots and I can not lie.
For going fast cant beat it….. Recently went to a 5moa on my carry optics and plate rack guns. Gonna probably go to the 8moa on my rack and open guns
Low and no ejection issues. Great idea. 12 moa on all dots or just open?

He said he like full size guns. The xp is only 4”
So many close calls that missed the mark. The MAC DS9 might be the value contender if they release a 5". Or it is now if you can deal with the snappy shorter gun.
@ I would say the Romulus is probably the best value right there with the prodigy now that you can get them with a plate system.
@standjos25 The Romulus is indeed nice. I heard some questionable stuff about peoples experience with the company though, and that turned me away. I at least knew what I was getting into with Springfield.
@@Osprey1994 I have both, the Romulus is fit better and has higher quality internals. But I do love my prodigy now that ive replaced about everything 🤣
Great write up/review thanks for posting
Thanks so much for sharing. I put 225 rounds on a brand new out of the box 5” and it ran perfectly. Changed the guide rod to the tool less Dawson Precision and ran great for 39 rounds and then on 40 got a primer ignition but failed to fire. Shot 25 more without a problem. Maybe bad ammo. I did a lot of research before acquiring the Prodigy and must say you provide the best, most useful, info on UA-cam. I don’t currently compete, but thanks to your info that may be in my future. Thanks again.
Thanks for the review. I also have a Prodigy for USPSA; it doesn’t have as many rounds through it as yours, and so far, I haven’t had a single malfunction. When I first got it, I polished all the surfaces to a mirror finish, and the modifications I made were the EGW ignition kit, tool-less guide rod, Atlas trigger and Magwell. I removed the iron sights because they got in the way and replaced the mainspring housing with a 17lb one and the recoil spring with a 9lb one. Optic plate and Red dot glue it with Blue Loctite and no issues. The return to zero is very good.
What magwell and mags did you go with?
@@bend6470 EGW Magwell, fits perfect on the Prodigy and I took advantage of the Thanksgiving offer and bought 4 Atlas. 23 rounds vs the 20 on the OEM and worked perfect.
What weight recoil spring are you using?
9?
@@2strokeYardSalethanks I have an 8 in mine currently but it feels a bit undersprung, esp shooting 124 nato loads. Had mine quadraported by magnaport too so it’s missing a bit of mass on the slide (likely negligible)
Damn
10,000 round review coming
Whoops!
In Colorado at least, cops are required to set their DUI check points right before another road or exit so one can exit off. Right, wrong or indifferent, came from a lawyer saying this.
DUI checkpoint out in the middle of nowhere? Haha those cops are dumber than a box of trumps!
So stupid
The cops here are actively doing good trying to stop people driving under the influence. Just comply and stop being a dick and wasting their time. Unless, of course, you had been drinking.
Driver complied with all lawful orders.

@@treefrog1956 Of course you are free to your personal opinions.
@ Indeed. As are you.
@@treefrog1956 It's a fact. In this video, the driver complied with all lawful orders.
THESE A$$HOLES HAVE ALREADY VIOLATED SEVERAL OF THIS MANS RIGHTS, I can see why he's fearful for his life. I only hope he SUED them for their STUPIDITY AND UNLAWFUL ORDERS AND LIES!!!!
So, this set up is now considered Limited Optics, correct?
You are brave man all policeman are frendly with you
PS. As former LEO You don't have to flip that visor up either. Simply demanding something doesn't make it lawful. Ask if you'll be arrested if you don't. If they DIRECTLY affirm that they will, then comply stating you are doing this under duress only because you are in fear of being arrested and you feared for your life and safety. Then go after their qualified immunity. You might not win then, but it makes it easier for the next guy.
That clutch management is a crime

PIgs can only order to exit the vehicle. there is no law saying the driver has to roll down the window, you dumb idiot.

These checkpoints have been made illegal in most states and have been shown to violate rights.
They are prohibited or not used in 12 states, but used in 38 states. Yes, they do result in a lot of violations of civil rights.
Bunch of Rambos
Your sky always looks the same there, I bet the winds help with that.
What a huge waste of manpower
We need TO KNOW OUR RIGHTS, WE HAVE RIGHTS, against illegal search and seizures
How did "our rights" prevent the driver from being seized and searched? Or how were the cops held accountable for violating those rights they took oaths to uphold?
